Lonesome wildflower
pick her not
Let the rain caress
the deepened scars
And if you shall
then touch her gently
lest she withers
she breaks apart
Ask her not
which place she belongs
I’ve heard her cries
People hurling stones
at a cast-off
If you find her
injured wounded
amongst the pointed grass
Take her home
softly in your lap
Water her plant her
in the smallest flower pot
But touch her not
Let her scared heart
find solace in the quiet
of dark starry night
Let the fireflies
sing her lullabies
When she wakes up
a little healed up
Her eyes shining
with a hope of life
I will come down then
Hold my hand
little pretty flower
I’ll take you
To a paradise
where no fear survives
All hills dales
and colourful lives
Walk freely about the ground of love
under the Faith’s sky
To a far-off country
where I belong.
