Dear Samarth,
I don’t know how to start because I never thought I would be able to talk to you (or write to you😊). I am You after a decade. Weird! I know. Until this point, it was only you who had talked to me through your experiences. The experiences you have had and will have has shaped me into the person I am today. Which is why I want to tell you the experiences you have are very valuable. The good ones are meant to be cherished and enjoyed to the fullest while they last. The bad ones are for you to learn from, and help realize the value of the good ones. Live these moments to the fullest, but remember don’t try to hold on to them because nothing should and does not last forever. Holding on will only hinder your growth.

Don’t be afraid to make mistakes and remember you are not the only one making them. Quit worrying, making mistakes will not ruin your life, they will only push you forward, that is if you let them. They might leave you embarrassed today making you turn red in front of everyone, but these are the moments you will laugh at in the future, and they will leave you with gems of wisdom. Keep in mind there is no shame in accepting that you were wrong and accepting your mistakes. Your refusal to accept them will keep the gift of wisdom from you.

Don’t be afraid to voice your opinions. No one might agree with you, but everyone has their own truth. At the same time listen to those around you even if you disagree with them. Their opinions might end up convincing you. If you refuse to listen to opinions you don’t agree with, you might end up believing in lies all your life. Have your beliefs challenged, listen with an open mind only then will you expand on your wisdom and knowledge. If you are not ready to have your beliefs challenged, then you are not confident and sure about them.

Lastly, have faith in Him and yourself. If you slip on the path don’t worry just pick yourself and keep going. You don’t need to live up to everyone’s expectations nor can you please everyone. Learn from your past, aim in the future and work in the present. I want to say a lot more, but then there would be nothing left for the next time. Thank You for making me who I am today. I love you.

Your loving self,
Samarth.
