Sastang Pranam at your lotus feet oh Swamiji. The Sri Suktam Sadhana is really mesmerizing though I am not able to do it along with you due to reasons known to you. Anyway, Sadhana app is handy enough for me to perform at least something on a mild scale. I can’t thank you enough for this awesome gift. A loud round of applause for the entire team. One suggestion which I want to make here is if the ‘Dakhsina’ offering can be accumulated in our accounts and one single transaction can be performed once in a month, it will be even more helpful. This is my personal opinion. At least an option may be provided to ‘accumulate’ alongside ‘donate’ it may help further.

Anyway, coming back to today’s topic, our elder son Sahil (I am still not able to digest that I am writing elder son, as we never had thought of having a second baby. Samil is your blessings sent to us as your representative in our life. We are very much grateful to you for Samil.) turned 11 years old on 29th September, 2022. The following is the letter which we wrote to him on the occasion. We would like to share the letter with all of you

Date: 29-09-2022

A Letter to Sahil on his 11th Birthday:

Dear beta

Congratulations Sahil aka Dudu on your 11th Birthday. We still remember the day in 2011 when you were born and with you, a couple became Parents. You made us Mummy and Daddy! Yes, it was not easy to handle Parenthood, but we tried our best. We tried our best to protect you at the same time not trying to be helicopter parents. Of course, our parenthood is still a ‘Work in Progress’!

We were really happy to have you though we wanted a baby girl. We cannot believe that you are turning 11! Why does childhood fly so fast mate! From a baby in our laps to a would-be teenager, the time has flown like anything. From a dependant baby to a helping hand and suggesting mind is a really amazing transformation. From ‘objectionable mummy’ to ‘playful papa’, you have re-defined our identities. Yes, you dear!

It amazes us how you became so mature, thoughtful, independent and capable. You matured a lot during the COVID Crisis. It is your strength, that strengthened us rather empowered us to leave you alone at home and go to office. Though it was a difficult period, you did not complain and supported us like a matured adult even if you were 9 years old.

You have bestowed us many a proud moment as parents. Your achievements in the Olympiads, academics at schools (both AECS and DAV), your Keyboard playing ability etc. have made us happy and proud. You are such a gifted child; you have a very good brain and memory power. Our sole advice is please use it in constructive way.

And don’t be afraid of anything in life. You are in the safety net of Swamiji. But you need to try and fight obstacles coming in your life. Your try and Swamiji’s grace will be very powerful to tackle any challenge in life. Try to learn from the mistakes and try not to repeat them.

You are an awesome elder brother. Samil is very lucky to have a considerate, sensitive, loving, caring big bro like you. Even if you both have an age gap of 10 years, you are getting along very well with Samil. You are playing with him and entertaining him, sharing your toys and other items with him. Samil is also following you a lot. Please be a role model for him. You already are one, dude.

You are always willing to help us when we need an additional hand. Never ever forget that how gifted you are and how blessed you are. Practice to offer gratitude to the almighty when you go to bed. Be grateful and respectful. Love like your mom and dad love each other.

Thank you for giving the opportunity to be your parents. We have a real surprize gift for you and hope that you will use it properly.
