A slave is a slave because he is free.

A king is a king because of his own free will.
I am I and you are you ; because of our own free wills.
No one else has forced us to be in the status we are in.

You came in the restaurant. Everyone in the restaurant has ordered  different different menues as per their likings.
You have also ordered  a veg burger.
Now you all are waiting for the waiter to serve the said dishes.
Chef prepared the dishes as per the orders. Waiter also started serving  the dishes to everyone as per the order.
You also got your  veg burger.

You didnt get a pizza ordered by another, did you?

You neither envied to the one who got a pizza, nor got angry at the waiter for not giving you a pizza, instead, you started eating your burger without complain.
Because you knew that you have ordered a burger and not a pizza.

Now, Suppose you have ordered  a sandwich and a tea but you forgot what you have ordered.
After some time, you ordered a dosa.

The Waiter comes and serves  you a sandwich and a tea.

You get surprised and angry too at the waiter because you got sandwich and tea but not a dosa.
As you forgot your previous order given,  you didnt expect the sandwich and tea but a dosa.

But the waiter and the chef didnt forget your orders. Chef prepared all your orders and waiter served those to you.

Now waiter will not take anything back. You have to enjoy or suffer your ordered menues.

This is how we are entangled is the experiences of joys and sorrows in this world just like in a restaurant.

At the time of birth , our orders( in the form of vasanas) from previous lives are stored in our causal body. We get whatever we are destined to get ( just like we get what we order in a restaurant). Things, beings,  every experience, every happenings in our life are,  as they should be.

We go on moving up and down, sometimes depressed sometimes elated, getting affected by the dualities of the world.  We are never at peace and bliss for a longer time.

But If you understand the concept of karma properly, ( just like the person understands in a restaurant),  you will accept whatever comes to you as it is; ( accepting unexpected order of sandwich and tea in a restaurant). You will never complain about any situation in your life. You will be free from the blame game forever.

Coming to the main topic,
“Slave is a slave because he is free.”
Slave has been bound in the state of slavery because of his own karmas of previous lives, which he is not aware of.

Now you will ask, isn’t there any way to end his sufferings now?
Answer is a big ‘yes…’

While exhausting the prarabdha Karma ( good as well as bad), we are creating new karmas.
For example,  you are eating the fruits of a tree you have planted long back. Some fruits are sour and some are sweet but anyhow you are eating it. This is as if your Prarabhda ( which is destined for you).
But while eating those fruits,  you have now choices  to choose ( your free will) – whether to sow the seeds of sour fruits or sweet fruits  to get the respective fruits later or not to sow the seed at all.

Our own choices are responsible for our status as slave or a king. Whatever comes without choice, you have to exhaust it without complain..it’s your Prarabhda.  Whenever you get a choice,  use it wisely.  ( it’s Agami karma …. free will )

Hunger made you come in this world restaurant to fulfill it. Hunger is a desire that governs our planning and choices.
If you don’t want to suffer by the dualities of the world,  don’t order anything further. Just accept what is served as it is.

Coming to the point again,
You are convinced now that you have become a slave as per your own free will.  You were free to choose, what to sow. And you know, what you sow, so you reap.

Isn’t there a way  to get out of this miserable slavery?
Yes…..and it’s guaranteed…

Learn the scriptures…they never call you a slave….
Know who you are…
know your true nature….
Do contemplate upon what you learn…

One day, you will be no more as a slave…..
You will have pain but you will never suffer…

Once wisdom sets in, you will be eternal happiness Itself.

It’s your choice whether to be slave or a king…
