Have you thought that your life is not going your way? Or may be got irritated when your mother cooks something you hate? Or got upset when you think that you didn’t get what you deserved?

This book, one my favorites till now will make you feel grateful towards every little thing you have in life, it was a life changing experience for me to read this amazing narrative by, one of the best Story tellers of the era Khaleed Hosseini.

This is the story of two women, Mariam who faces hard time not getting any love back from the men in her lives, first her father betrays her by marrying her off to an old man. Then her husband does the same thing by marrying a young girl, Laila. But as the story unwinds these two go through a hell lot of situations and what happens later is the true definition of selfless love., Which doesn’t need you to be related by blood, it’s just pure love.

The Author has brilliantly potrayed every character and has done justice to every scenario painting it perfectly with just the right choice of words. It’s not a just a book to be honest, I felt like watching the entire episode in front of my eyes. Get the copy if you haven’t already!

Even if you are not a fiction lover you will be deeply moved as the story is based on true incidents. I found it one-of-a-kind and worth the hype. Characters stay with my till today.
