In aloneness the soul rests in God
as a child snuggles in empty spaces
it finds comforting
in that deep void it experiences
some parts of it as whole

Embedded in the heart of the spirit
in the flickering flame called life
therein pulsates the strongest urge
to dissolve to divide

The notion of God
not too different from love
one as true as the other
in softness in togetherness

Just as great silence dwells
in Nature’s vast belly
the human soul starved in perpetuity knows
no greater hunger than the silencing of thoughts

The asylum it seeks
by God’s holy feet
is hard to come by
for it forgets it weeps

In these weeping of life
many a bitter truths hide
in aloneness there’s rest
an escape to His side

A grand celebration
a gradual melting of the soul
as if an iced human heart is
turning to water turning to God

Yes, in aloneness is the magic
the sweet asylum He promised
a meeting at last
of the earth with its very core…
