And I Cancelled My Ticket to Train for Ashram

Going to ashram for me has always been a dhuk dhuk affair;

I have been there just twice earlier both times for an initiation.

With no full time help or cook and most family physically dependent on my managerial skills,it’s not easy to move out of the house even for a 4 hours freind s meet.

And on top of it with no online banking and not everyone in family having same level of faith and confidence on Swami ji and ashram environment it’s a mamoth task to announce my departure plans too.

I am dependent in all ways on them aswell want peace of home than being a rebellious seeker.

Any ways 2 months back when ashram events were announced my lovely freind Dr Anu of Orlando booked our ashram rooms for an event from 28.12 to 2 nd January.

I disclosed this plan to my mom 15 days prior to the visit and my husband a week before traveling,at which he was angry on hiding the details and being Diplomatic! Though the displeasure subciied soon.

I had got my train tickets booked 2 months back only through a lovely co devotee of Chandigarh for a train journey and would have met Dr Anu and 2 other co devotees on a taxi ride to ashram on 28.12 only.

Nature had some other plans from 22 nd December my son had fever and my Mother got a swollen wrist with extreme pain and artecaria too.

Till 27 th i dint know weather i ll be able to make it to ashram or rather should i?

On 27 th evening i asked Pankaj the Chandigarh co devotee to cancel my tickets! My family needed me physically more than my soul needed to go to ashram!

I didn’t feel any dissatisfaction or resentment though.

Isn’t living in present moment that!

Then is missing some one too not living in present moment?

Anyway there was a message on 26 .12 that a co devotee Dipti Om was going and coming back via taxi from Gurgao from 30.12 to 1.1.23 and was open if someone wanted to share the taxi ride!

As Sri Hari would work it out,on 29.12 my son and mom were quiet ok to manage themselves with help of part time house help and my husband too was comfortable knowing ,i ll be safely traveling to and fro in a taxi from Delhi only.

At 6.20 am i had to meet Dipti at Huda metro station, the metro to gurgaon starts at 5.40 am And it takes 40 minutes ride to reach Huda.

I got up at 4.30 got ready and arranged b.fast on table to start as planned at 5.15 am from home but at 5 am ,i was stuck…stuck without my mobile in home lift! The family was asleep with doors closed to be cosy in heaters! Did i make it to ashram?…..to be continued……
