The other day my son’s class teacher called me complaining that your child does acting of being dizzy and on being asked to be helped by a stronger class mate smiles looking at him.
She was also telling me that she left him in medical room but thinks he was acting.
My response to her was that she is a wise and concerned teacher and i trust her instincts so she should wait for medical room staff to take control of the situation and we will proceed accordingly.
In an hours time i got a call from the medical room,My son was on the other side and said I should come to pick him as he felt unwell.
I went to pick him and from medical room till our car maybe kept staring at him with not much kindness and compassion.
I took him straight to our Family Doctor who after examination told that he had severe acidity ( late night popcorn while watching soccer) ,and that caused him feeling dizzy and nausia.
I felt bad that he kept explaining his truthfulness and i judged him.
Parent should be the most trusted plank to fall back onn.( My parents always believed me ).
Then some days back he hurt his knee and i made him have a leave the next day to give the foot a rest
He wanted to show it to doctor which i did( his father thinks this makes kids weak and coward with low will power). The injury was internal and the Doctor adviced 1 week rest from playing and some anti inflammation medicine.
Next day i was again in dillemas to send him in school bus or drop him myself ( u have to climb high on bus and it can hurt your knee). I left him myself ultimately.
Delhi winters after having wet hair without a warm cap at 6.20 am to catch bus together with high level of pollution made him have severe cold and cough again.
Again my dillema of being cruel , over caring or Ghanchakkar parent started making round in my head! Weather to drop him myself or let him go in school bus!
- Do such confusions haunt u too?
