Some days
I’m drier than the Sahara
Can’t write, can’t talk
Can’t sleep, can’t walk
Life’s diving faster than a hawk
No warning, doesn’t even knock
Stuffs a sock in my mouth
And ravages uncouth
But then I look up to the sky and see
It looking down on me
It’s there even when I can’t see it
It’ll always be me and I’ll be it
I’m not in this alone
I see it now, the light
The aurora looking down on me
Up in the air, higher than any height
And I’m putting up a fight
But I still need help so
Come to me, light
The aurora’s
Always there
No matter where
I can’t see it
But it’s watching me so
Save me!
