I am so fortunate to have reading as one of my hobbies.
When I had learnt for the first time about copyright, it was something unheard of for me. My little, ignorant but sweet and sincere mind didn’t know anything about it. To me to be able to read a book of my choice used to be sort of dream come true. When I was a child, my family, some times, not have had enough even for all meals, all through out the year. Borrowings from social circle was their way to keep our tummys full. I remember those days a bit. I never ever bought new books. It was mostly old lot , borrowed from previous year’s students. Then, once, due to my good academic performance my Government Girls Sr. Secondary School gave me free books for some 2 years, in class 7th and 8th. How happy I was to get those brand new books!!!!!😊😊.
Friends, my experiences have made me like this. I know how important it is to read and study. So, I fully support even stealing a good book😀😀😀😀😀if the passion runs high and one finds it difficult to afford it. Till date I go to Daryaganj’s Sunday Book Market (Delhi). You can get all types of old and new books at such nominal prices. Now I know that some books are pirated versions as well. Can’t help it. Old habits die hard.
Luckily by the time Swamiji started writing, my pocket was deep enough and I purchased all books first hand from Amazon or Ashram and also gifted them in my circle. 😊
A good book will make us wise enough to pay back to the society in due course and compensate for our stealing😜🤪🤫🤭🤗
So do read, read and read. Just don’t bother much about copyright. Nature will give us enough chances to pay back.
P. S. : Read this in lighter spirit. Am not promoting stealing😀😀😀😀
