Blink of An Eye

In the blink of an eye
the world shifts
standing by your side
I forget where I am
a long night it may have been
troubled sleep
less or more
it matters not
when I enter your sanctum
the day breaks…
What’s this luminous world
from where your brilliance spills
like a gentle flame
this world so safe
two steps I take
into your divinescence I walk…
O my smiling Bhagwan
so kind to me
laughing away my mistakes
one too many
in these shifting winds
that come and go
where one feels so lost
You stand like a rock
protecting me.
Oh I don’t know
what more to ask of You
some wisdom perhaps
to prove my worth
to abandon all charades
that go on unknowingly.
O forgiving Lord Hari
in the blink of an eye
you uplift the heaviest burdens
off this moping heart.
My gentle Father
walk with me
so often I lose my way
only when the day breaks
by your side I stand
it all starts to make sense again
if each day
I can only catch your brilliant light
and infuse myself with it
