Almost every writer imagines their name on a book cover. So, today we will try to figure out how we can evolve dreams into reality.

The most commonly used methods are:

·  Traditional Publishing:

· Self–Publishing

So, let’s see what these methods offer us

·  Traditional publishing: This method demands a lot of time and patience. In this method, the writer has to send a query letter or finished manuscript to literary agents or publishing houses to propose your ideas for publication. If they select your book, you will receive an upfront advance for the rights to your work, enter into a contract with the publishing house and they will take care of editing, designing, and distribution of your book. One of the major benefits of using this method is that they will take care of costs like printing, copyrights, legal services, and some marketing.

The drawback of using this method is an author will lose some of the ownership of their work. However, this is the only publishing method that will give you money upfront for the rights to your work. If you don’t have the money to print and distribute your book on your own, traditional publishing could be your best bet. Do keep in mind, though, that when it comes to your book’s sales, traditional publishing companies will take a percentage of your generated revenue. The amount will depend on each publishing house and its policies. In this method, you can hire an agent which can make your journey easy.

·  Self–Publishing: This method is contradictory to the traditional method. In this method, the writer has to find out a good publishing house. The Publishing house will provide you services like designing a book cover, illustrations, editing, marketing, selling, and printing. The benefit of this method is even you get services that your budget can offer. This helps in saving your time and energy. There are publishers like notion press, Bibliofili publishers, White falcon publishing, etc. If we have a lower budget we can check Inkfeathers, Onlinegatha, and so on.

So, yes you can see your name on your book cover. You can tell your story to the world.

Keep writing,

Keep smiling,

Thank you,
