Cultivating Faith on our Ishta
Spirituality is a journey from doubtful mind to a faithful heart! 💐
In this post, we shall reflect on power of faith on our Ishta and how it helps us to cross the challenges in the Bhavasagar. We would see this through an example of a faithful character from history, Ramayana. India has a rich spiritual history and Ramayan is one of the major phase in the history of our country. Angad, Balis son through an important event in Ramayana, displayed how firm faith on our Ishta can make us victorious in the most challenging conditions.
So let’s see Angadas example:
Rama tried multiple times to bring back Sitaji in a harmonious way without waging a war as it would lead to a lot of destruction of mankind. Ravana did not agree so Rama had sent Angad to his court to deliberate with him. Seeing Angad and knowing about his valour and courage, Ravana proposed him to leave Ramas side and join him. Angada could not take this, he felt how could Ravana even dare to propose him to go against his own Ishta! 🤔
So Angada gave him a challenge… 🙌
The challenge was that Angada would place his foot in his court and Ravanas warrior would try to move it. If they were successful in moving them, he lost and he could keep Sitaji otherwise He would win and Ramas name and His might would be glorified…. So the challenge started…
One after another all mighty warriors came and tried to shake his feet but nonetheless no one was successful..Everyone tried to the best of their capacity putting in all the strength they had but it had no effect on Angadas unshakeable feet… 💪
Ultimately Ravana also tried and failed, the name of His Ishta Rams was glorified in Ramas court. 🎉🎉So friends see
Wasn’t it a super high pressure situation?
So what was the secret of being victorious.. It was firm faith in his Ishta, a sense of surrender, no presence of Iness and Myness. Let’s try to get inspirations from Angada characters and develop an unflinching faith on our Ishta..
Jai Shree Rama
