Om Sri Hari!

Today is Second day of Sharad Navratri, day of Maa Brahmcharini, one who is doing tapas to achieve her supreme goal, Shiva. We all know that this form of Maa represents penance. Today I’ll share, what matters most in any sadhana and as I promised in my previous post Ten Stages on the path of Sadhana as well.

In all matters it is necessary to establish a center. Otherwise real intensity cannot be developed. As mind becomes more concentrated on one thing one steadily grows more sincere, tranquil, loving and at ease. In this way one may catch a glimpse of All-pervading One. Choose a word, a form, an image, a symbol, infact anything sacred representing Maa as a whole or in part, and, whether in happiness or in misery, ceaselessly direct the current ofΒ  your thinking towards it. Even though this mind will wonder here and there, but it will again seek rest in this fixed centre. In due course, love and devotion will awaken for Maa who will then take possession of your heart.

TenΒ  Stages on the Path of Sadhana:

  1. The desire to find Maa is conceived.
  2. One begins to hanker after her restlessly.
  3. The eagerness of union with her, to play in her lap grows overwhelming.
  4. One resorts to all kinds of clever devices to reach Maa… (Fair means only)
  5. There is intense yearning to soar up in to the heights of divine contemplation.
  6. Tears…. Tears of longing for the beloved are shed in great profusion.
  7. One wants to swim in the ocean of Bliss.
  8. Day and Night Maa’s name, mantra is repeated in order to realize her.
  9. Forgetting oneself and awakening of great love for Maa.
  10. Step ten, journey completed, Ssearch is over, Self-Realization is attained.

Enjoy your blissful time with Maa.
