#TheWriteChoice

This is a very unique experience I went thru couple of months back.  We are around 11 of us who are learning Lalitha Sahasranama meaning thru a divine soul who happens to be of our Swamiji’s ardent devotee Nandini’s brother and we regularly have classes during weekends; we have WA group as well.  In that group one of those days came a pic of Lalitha (the profile / blog pic), which all of us fell in love with immediately because of the resemblance of our Sri Hari.  After sometime the topic went to background but I was especially curious about the temple and the sculpture etc, because I had met the sthapathi of Sri Hari 5 years back, so that kept my curiosity alive about MAA’s vigraha also.

Again after 2 months of that pic appearing mysteriously in our WA group another msg came from a FB post asking for donations to build a store room for the same temple. Me, being a search consultant, went on to check about the source meticulously and found that to be genuine, got the contact and pinged him asking his availability for a call.  It was Ekadashi, the day I fast and it was already 11 pm, just msged him and left it to continue the next day, only to get a response from him within minutes asking me for my whereabouts and if we can talk now.  I was a bit vary, in the middle of the night that too when I fasted the whole day, but still ended up calling him at 11.15 pm. Lo & Behold, the call went on for 1 hour 15 mins; I had such wonderful satsang (of Mother Divine) with trustee of the temple; I cried and cried the whole time only to conclude the conversation with a Sankalp to visit the temple asap.

I had the conversation on a Thursday and as the Divine would WILL, I was at the temple the very next Thursday.  I went about asking our group if anyone would like to join, a few said yes, and few said later, few were scared to travel due to lockdown and pandemic but I went about planning my trip. I got saree for her and bought all the dhravyas for abhishekam.  And many in our group contributed to buy sarees for her which can be adorned by Mother on different occasions. I was planning my trip and trying to find out who can drive me, since it’s a 6 hours road trip from Bangalore; another ardent devotee of Swamiji called Abhishek accepted to join the road trip to MAA’s abode. The road to the temple could be approached in 2 ways from Bangalore and both were equal time-wise, so there was some confusion about which road to take. We decided to leave to MAA once we loaded things in the car, and we took the turn based on both our intuition and went about driving the 6 hours stretch.
