Divine Wishes / Demands – II

The whole journey was surreal to be really honest.  It was March in Bangalore and we took the road which goes to Chennai via Chitoor. The temp outside was 14* C and the visibility outside was next to zero since we had fog inside our car throughout the trip and to top it all we had such beautiful sunrise, the whole trip felt like the trip to Vaishno Devi and sometime it felt like the trip to Sri Badrika Ashram.

The best is yet to come…..

I had bought all the Dhravyas for the abhishekam but didn’t get Sugarcane juice which was part of my list.  I told this to the temple trustee and he said its ok we will manage without it, but my heart was saying how can I go with 1 item less in the first time itself, but then that thought also had gone to background during the trip since the journey was so good, nothing mattered during that time.  We had started at 5 am in the morning and after such a wonderful morning drive, we came to a country side road and guess what, both sides of the road were full of Sugar Cane Crops.  Abhishek literally said should I stop and we can just pluck out some and carry with us. I told him we need juice not sugarcane, he said something is better than nothing 😊. Then onwards I was searching both side of the road to see if there is a vendor who is making sugarcane juice, for almost half an hour I searched then I gave up mentally telling MAA, you brought me thru this route for a reason, if its for a sugarcane juice you will have to show it to me visibly, not that I should be searching frantically for the same.

Sugarcane juice is something which has to be fresh and should be used within 1 hour of extracting, and it was already 9.30 am and we have been travelling for 4.30 hours already.  We came to a toll gate all of a sudden, which was not anticipated, so I told Abhi to stop by after the toll so that I can use the washroom and the ultimate thing happened; there was a sugarcane juice guy at the toll gate right in front of our car.  I laughed out loudly and told Abhi, now I know why we took this route, MAA wanted the juice for her Abhishekam.  And how can Abhishek come for doing Abhishekam with one item missing from the list.  So, MAA made sure we carry everything that was there in the list and once we reached the temple, we realized that the specialty is Sugarcane juice for MAA – Sri Lalitha TripuraSundai – in the said location, and she made sure we get it for her.  To top it all, we reached the temple an hour earlier than planned and we spent such wonderful & blissful time with her

Sharing the pic (profile / blog pic) which was taken after the abhishekam and alankaram.  MAA also chose the saree that I carried, out of the 5 sarees that the other group members had gifted her, which was even more overwhelming for me.

Overall it was a most beautiful trip during the pandemic and I will be forever indebted to MAA for getting what she wanted “हक से” from me.
