Ek Karwa Chauth Aisa Bhi.

 I hope you all are doing well. So today as we know it’s karwa chauth. Many women out there are fasting today for the well being of their husband or I can say a spouse is fasting for his or her spouse. Feeling of love towards the relationship between the couple is visible on this day. But I am from Himachal Pradesh so my mother never observed this fast of karva chauth because this fasst is somewhere popular in middle of the India, like Delhi Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh states and some parts Himachal Pradesh as well but after some Bollywood movies it became popular in every home and even the unmarried girls are for fasting on this day even when they don’t know they will get the same boyfriend as husband or not, just kidding. In my home no one observed this first but today as I am living in Delhi I saw the enthusiasm of this festival of karva chauth everywhere. The lady which cooks food for us, she was fasting today so didn’t came to cook and lady which uses to clean our rooms didn’t came today and her daughters in law are also observing fast today. So I went outside to get some food for my dinner and on my coming back to my room I saw that lady who uses to clean my room so I asked her, “Amma still the moon has not arrived, it will take a lot more time and you must be starving and she said what are you saying and I said you didn’t observed? Are you not fasting today? She said No because my both daughters in law, they are observing the fast and we have to arrange some materials, something for this fast for the rituals and you know already they two are fasting, that’s why I’m not fasting today. Also due to our financial conditions I am not observing this fast.” In her statement I was able to see that pain and that satisfaction both together. Satisfaction of I have done my bit in my time. A lot actually and now it’s time for my daughters in law to follow these rituals.

 You know these are the situations which makes you to do anything and you can’t change the situation but you can change your perspective of looking at the situation so enjoy your karva chauth. 

You are lucky one if you are observing this fast and able to arrange everything so be happy.
