English Bhajan for Mah Love

While living in the ashram, we all residents used to sing bhajans for bhagwan in his praise, to sing his glory, express our love and gratitude. Our religious texts are full with stuti of Bhagwan. My heart always shines and smiles when hearing Bhajans. The melodious voice and beautiful sentiments towards Bhagwan in words express the feelings of love. Singing the glories of Bhagwan brings peace and serenity in the heart and soul of one who listens. It’s the charisma of Bhagwan, even the humble singing of the lord’s name is heard and is dear to him. It is the beauty of Bhajan that it fills the heart of every one with love and purifies the mind of all beings.

The happiness and joy that one derives from Bhajan is unparalleled. Bhajans bring devotees closer to Bhagwan. It’s a direct link to Bhagwan surpassing the limits of space and time. That is why Meera went into Samadhi while remembering Bhagwan. Saints of yore dedicated their lives and reached the Ultimate by singing Bhajan. I always heard from our elders that where the name of Bhagwan is recited, that place purifies and the surroundings also become free from evil spirits. It is said that the vibrations from Bhajan create a field that is pure around the place the Sankirtan is going on. That is why we sing lyrics of aarti in high volume, so that it can be heard in far-off places. Whoever listens will find peace and grace of Bhagwan by merely listening to the aarti. Our Vedic scriptures are full of instances where a person finds happiness and prosperity just by listening to a single word of mantras. Through bhajan, a devotee express everything to Bhagwan be it love, be it pain, be it happiness or joy, be it sadness or be it circumstances of life. Simply, express it to Bhagwan with love. It’s uniqueness lies in being free in spirit. You may sing anything to express yourself.

I would wait curiously for the aarti time to arrive so that I could sing a bhajan and express my love and gratitude. I always search for the Bhajan I like and then the whole day, whenever I get time, I will practise it and then submit it at the lotus feet of my lovely Bhagwan. On one day, I thought to sing an English wala Bhajan for Bhagwan. I searched for it and I found one beautiful bhajan. So, I practised it in my own rhythm, the way I am confident and comfortable singing. Well, the moment arrived, and I, most lovingly and full of feelings, pleased my Bhagwan with the beautiful bhajan filled with love. Everyone in the temple looked at me, and said, “Ooo English Bhajan” and all rejoiced the lyrics of the Bhajan and the way I sang. So, I felt Bhagwan ji ko bhi acha laga hoga. Hope to sing again very sooon. I love you, Bhagwan ji. I miss you so much.☺️🙏❤️🌻
