My Prabhu’s First Darshan

The gravel roads had hair pin turns but all I knew was that I had to reach the ashram as soon as possible. My Swami was there, I wanted to forget my headache and be in the best of my health in his presence. This would be the first time I would be meeting my lord.

The journey had started when I read a post on Swami’s fan blog describing the ashram, the next thing I had in mind was that I had to visit the ashram. And then I read that only who the Divine mother calls could reach the Ashram. I wondered within, will Maa bless me and will I ever be able to visit Swamiji’s divine abode? And here I was just a few kms away, I was thirsty but water could not quench my thirst anymore, I was hungry but food was not required only a glimpse of my Prabhu was what I was craving for.

The driver showed us the ashram from the hilltop but I was more curious to see Swamiji’s hut .We stepped in the ashram with a sigh of relief but where is my Prabhu? Another couple of hours I was told. I could not breathe, where are you Swamiji, I thought.

I got a glimpse of my dear Swamiji walking towards the Ashram from the window. I waited outside and just when the house dog was trying to play around with me, Swamiji  appeared and asked “Garima aap kaise hain”. I touched his feet and he was out of sight again, off to the meeting hall.

The moment had arrived I was sitting in front of him in his meeting room. I just kept smiling and could not utter a word. There was so much I wanted to talk to him about but I ended up stammering.
Please forgive me friends because beyond this I can’t express in words. All I can say is one has to experience meeting the divine to feel the emotions. My heart is filled with gratitude for our divine lord for he accepted me in his lotus feet and gave me my true identity – Garima Om.

I wrote this post at the Ashram. While I was still thinking how to conclude this blog Swamiji appeared as he was heading back to his hut and his smile is reciprocated on my face. I am reminded of what he often says : Hari sab jagah hain , mann main hari hon toh hari aa hi jaate hai.

I personally would like to thank all the devotees who have posted their experiences on this blog for helping us connect with the Divine – Swamiji. Earlier when I had not met him, I would read each and every post for the slightest detail about Guruji 🙂

Thank you so much to everyone.

Many  Pranam’s  in the  lotus feet of our divine master.

Your fallen child.

Garima.
