Do you feel like your anxiety is constantly holding you back? Beyond that feeling, are there consequences in the form of physical ailments or life-changing events that have started taking their toll on you and your loved ones because of how much control fear has over you? Maybe it’s time for a change. If so, keep reading to learn more about how to break free from their fears and live the happiest life possible.
Fear is a powerful emotion. It can prevent us from acting and stifle our creativity. Fear can prevent us from achieving our goals, efforts, and accomplishments, among other things. If we want to make progress in life, we must overcome our fear of failure and be confident in what we are doing.
Fear can be paralyzing; which means sometimes even when the opportunity presents itself, we may not take action because of feelings of weakness, depression, overthinking, frightening and more.
Maybe it’s time for a change. The following are some tips that may be useful to you.
- Take a step back and look at life from a different angle. Relax, the world we live in is only temporary. Whether it’s a comedy or a tragedy, it all comes to an end one day. When you look at life from a broader perspective, you will be able to overcome your feelings of insecurity.
- Make an effort to get up and move around. Allow blood to circulate freely. Every hour, take a short walk for a few minutes or at least a few seconds to activate the nervous system, which aids in the generation of new ideas and thoughts that may help you deal with the challenge.
- Affirm Swami Vivekananda’s quote “I am a hero. I have no fears”, as your first thought when you wake up, and repeat it every hour before eating anything and before sleeping. It will instill courage in your attitude.
- Always keep your mind calm. Do not become swept up in the emotions of those around us
- Learn and practice Pranayama and mudras. The combination of mudras and pranayama, in particular, will undoubtedly benefit you.
- In the morning, practice Yogabhyasa for flexibility and easy blood flow. Do some weight lifting workouts as well for strong muscles and bones.
- Do spiritual studies as well as self-help books on a regular basis to keep your heart clean and your emotions light.
- Finally, don’t think about all the negative consequences while you’re working on something because it will only make things worse. While doing any type of work, keep your emotions in check and take small steps toward your goal. In the GITA, Lord Shree Krishna stated,
“कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन । मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भुर्मा ते संगोऽस्त्वकर्मणि ॥”
”Karmanye Vadhikaraste Ma Phaleshou Kada Chana ।
Ma Karma Phala Hetur Bhurmatey Sangostva Akarmani ॥”
This means that you have the right to carry out your actions but not to the outcomes of those actions. For example, if you’ve been paralysed by the prospect of what might happen before attending a meeting, it’s time to take a step back and recognise that you have the right to attend the meeting and do your best without being distracted by the consequences. If you adopt this mindset, you will be able to face the challenge effectively and without overthinking it.
