Hazily I remember
The picture you dropped into
My dream when I was in slumber
And you came in. You walked in-
In many forms like the arms
Of Mother Divine, many of them
But I saw a few women
Collectively, all in a picture
As if you were telling me,
“All are me, my child!â€
I saw Meerabai, I saw Maa Aanandamayee
Midst a few other women- unrecognizable!
O my mind, dear my mind-
Who were they? Who were they?
And Maa, you stood in the middle
With your face simple
And graceful eyes like a blanket of peace.
I saw them, the woman saints-
All a part of you, O Maa!
Or should I dare to say it here
All are you, my Sri Maa!
If all Divine is but One
And all Humanity is One again
So, why do I differentiate
Between the saintly women?
Maa, I saw you simple in a sari white
You stood there in utmost serenity
And let this mind not distinguish
Between a form and a form
May I see you in everything
And everyone who would walk by
Like a leela you constantly perform
To fill our hearts with love and warmth
And all I am left to say-
Bolo Maa ki jai!
