It feels like a whiff of the smell of the sea vast

And I, a sailor staring at the stretching blue in the distance afar.

I no longer can control the will to rush along those sands

And jump to the sky from the rope hanging to a fellow star.

Like a pilgrim dancing in the desert dry

After coming upon an oasis by chance

Like a pebble at the banks of the gushing river

Wishing to hop right in, in a carefree trance.

I can no longer hold back that utmost desire

To give a merry jump and touch the skies

I’ll fight through it all, if forewarned,

Like a tulip living through both steam and ice.

Like a firefly fluttering and blinking ethereal light

As it floats about in the night’s dark soft bliss.

I can no longer restrain from experiencing the taste of that fruit

Which is the sweetest.

For indeed, freedom is.

A/N: If you made it this far without getting bored of my musings, thank you so much for being constantly supportive and continuously motivating me to write! It means so, so, so, so much to me, beyond chocolate, Lays and sweets, potato, Kiwi and beets 🙂 Plus, with offline school beginning, my schedule’s finally coming back on track and I’ll be able to spend a lot more time on os.me than I was for the previous few months, so expect me to pop out of anywhere, beware! Be prepared to read some lengthy comments 🙂 Lots of love to each one of you. Jai Sri Hari!
