Glimpses of Freedom

Although seeds of divinity has been sowed by my parents within me since childhood, they finally sprouted some 2-3 years back and I started having deep craving to enquire further and walk this path. For the first time then, I felt I am bound and limited by my own compulsive tendencies and although life is comfortable and cozy, there is no freedom in absolute sense . For the first time, I felt I have to leave gathering these comforts of life that satisfies only the physical body and maybe give little pleasure to sense and go beyond, dive in to see if we can break these limitation and see if the existence is beyond this.

Fast forward today, there are many limitations I still see that have bound me in this mortal coil, but now I know I feel better equipped and more prepared as I understood this is a journey of lifetimes and we have to continue walking until we are absolutely free, Freedom is our birthright and this is the final goal of life. However, by the grace of Guru and Divine, when I look back and I see few of the old shackles are loosened a bit and I experience few degrees more of freedom, the state of mind is more equanimous, one feel more in control and is not very anxious about future. It’s not that you have a control over destiny, one is fully aware that pain and inevitable situation can come anytime in life but as if one has a safe harbor within where he can anchor the boat until the storm is over.

So, here is an attempt to describe the little freedom i experience which motivates me to move forward with firm determination until the mind is absorbed permanently in the eternal awareness.

Quoting from the upanishads:

“May I never desert the Bramhan,

May Bramhan never desert me!”

Hum chal diye, Hum chal diye,

We started our journey and are moving forward,

Sapnon se aage chale,

We are finally moving beyond the illusion of this seemingly real world,

Parde sabhi khulne lage,

The Divine is finally lifting the veil of ignorance,

Panchi yun banke udde,

We are flying and there is more sense of freedom here;

Gum na koi, Na hai khushi,

There is neither misery and pain, nor the heart is thrilled and excited,

Antar yun mitne lagaa,

Those two does not seem much different now though,

Pahiye hai do, gaadi ke yeh,

These two are the wheels of duality I can see,

Patri pe chalte rahe,

That is moving the wheel of this life,

Taane bune, shikwe kare,

This mind used to build castles to excite , This mind alone used to complain and create misery,

Meelon yun chalte rahe,

This mind alone used to travel to different laces and exhaust the vital force,

Mitti ka woh ek her tha,

Finally realized the mind is also a mental matter,

Hum jo thame, woh thame,

If we do not pay attention, it stops throwing these tantrum and become still,

Kab the shuru, Kab the khatam,

When did I come to exist? When will I end?

Gutthi yeh suljhi chalo,

These thoughts no more bother me,

Khud ko hi hum dekha karen, Jiske ko bhi dekha karen,

This awareness within is everywhere and in everyone,

manifesting through different body-mind -intellect, the glimpses of this reality are there.
