O Lord of the Universe, the one who nourishes us,

O Lord of the Illusion, the one who is our Lord too;

O Lord, it is the manifestation of your creative aspect,

That appears as the entire creation to us;

O Lord, it is you who enters as total ego-“The Shesha”

to sustain the universe, Jagat and individual, Jiva.

O Lord of the universe, to you I bow down……..

O Lord of the universe, where do you begin and end?

You are beginning less, without any beginning

and endless you are, without any certain end.

You are one, detached and desire less, formless and have no name.

O Lord of the universe, to you I bow down……..

O Lord of the universe, although you are formless,

You only appear as all with different forms,

O Lord, it is you who has pervaded the entire creation

as subtlest of the substratum, highest and unseen.

O Lord of the universe, to you I bow down……..

O Lord, it is you who give potency,

to all name, form and the meaning attached to it;

O Lord, I understand now that it is beyond my intelligence,

to fathom the essence of who you are, I am tired finding you ;

You seem to be everywhere, one with the entire creation,

and again you are separate and detached with it; 

This glory of yours is unfathomable to puny intellect of mine,

I can only bow down to you.
