Translation :- When I can be happy, living in a cave near the celestial river Ganga,
Bringing my hands clasped on my head all the time,
With my impure thoughts washed away, uttering the mantra of Shiva,
Devoted to the God with a glorious forehead and with vibrant eyes?

Above shloka is from shiv tandav stotram written by Ravana for lord shiva.
What Ravana is saying in this shloka is situation of us in today’s life. He is saying when that time will come , that on the banks of Ganga in a cave leaving my impure thoughts and actions I will recite name of shiva with tears rolling down from eyes. And he is not able to do that his whole life!

Like ravana we also thinks that when time will come, I will do that and that also. I.e. our priority changes from time to time and in swamiji words ” Our Time Is Up” (More on this here https://os.me/word-on-rumors/)

All our life we tried to change circumstances in which we are instead of benefitting from situation which is present before us.
(In other words
Where as according to Gita in a war like circumstances (Mahabharat) also one be benefitted, and that is what Arjuna has done.
