In Dedication, Surrender and Eternal Gratitude

I offer my pranams at the lotus feet of Om Swamiji on the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima. With His grace alone I could attempt a few lines on my innermost feelings.

Oh, my life has become magical now!
His one miraculous glance
put me in a trance;
Rejoicing within self
have dug wealth;
The Holy coloured me
in His name,
reminds me of my aim.

The warmest sun I shied away
how I bask in love!
In awe ‘n’ reverence I bow
for it never shone as fair as now;
Guru Divine like sunlight
cures ‘n’ heals the ignorant soul of mine;
In ecstasy ‘n’ veneration dances
the everpure sublime in heart’s innermost shrine.

A connection of many lifetimes!
Is not a case of
love at first sight;
It blossomed when all seemed right;
 A pre ordained rendezvous
for Durga, Kali were always mine;
Abundant support of my better half, I cannot undermine
‘Heart of Success’ too came as a Valentine.

I humbly bow down
to my soul’s deepest guide;
His hymns soothed
when life turned riptide;
Now tells me to avoid pride,
Teaches virtues of peaceful life,
Unaware as I was,
To prevent strife.

My Guru is The Absolute
without doubt;
Worship Him with trusting love
my heart shouts;
He gave life a meaning,
Thoughts a direction,
Have set my mind on its reflection;
Now is the perfect time
And ‘now’ the only real moment
Say Yes to life.

Guru, the Elixir Pot of Maa Ganga
where even sinners purify;
Takes a problem by the horns
deep in the water flowing life;
With complete surrender,
steadfast dedication,
Know you are not alone;
So dip ‘n’ get ‘high on bliss’.

Full of life,
As still as the mountain,
Moving as a stream;
How dear He is to all His devotees!
A bestower of divine love!
A giver of supreme joy!
Everything that touches Him becomes sweet;
Fragrance reaches me.

Oh, I can fly now, what a transformation!
No more shall I lose my way
in life’s empty dreams ‘n’ cravings;
How can deliverance not come to me?
Even though a novice, I may be;
If the ever compassionate, God incarnate
leads me by hand
across to the world beyond enchanting lure;
Isn’t my liberation for sure?
