Every night,
Exhausted and dead,
We curl up in nature’s lap,
The journey,
beyond wakefulness,
Always remains a mystery.

Every night she descends,
Holding us in her lap,
And gently playing,
The divine lullaby,
It relaxes,
It refreshes,
It makes free,
Of the day’s drama,
Worries,
And tensions.

In her presence,
Time passes like a bird,
Hours and hours went by,
Still she cares deep,
And frees us,
So at the dawn,
Of a new day,
We wake up,
With a new hope,
A new purpose,
A beautiful reason to live.

Although we forget the nature’s lap,
For she is gone,
And will arrive again,
To free us,
And take in her lap,
This night,
And every night.

P.S: Thank you and deep gratitude for reading my poems. It’s a newly discovered talent in me, maybe not rhyming and good enough, but I found poetry is the best medium to express our emotions. And that’s the reason I started writing them, it frees up my mind, relaxes me, and the creative expression is deeply fulfilling. I mostly write with my feelings and experience, and not to fill the word limit, so have to include these lines in every poem as they are shorter than one one-fifty words to publish. Accept my gratitude (although I don’t have much).
