“Carry out a random act of Kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.”

Princess Diana.

Do we need to be selfish all the time, or are there some occasions when we just act with no expectations? Life is full of incidents when we have a choice—a choice to do what is right and what makes us humans. When these occasions come, we need to be strong enough to take some bold steps, and these steps have their own consequences. These consequences can be positive or negative depending on the type of work we do.

But as we know, nature is a big ship, and it takes time to turn around. In the same way, karma is also a big ship that takes its time to find the way back to us. Thus, we should either wait for the results to come or keep doing the good work.

What should be our focus: our actions or results? According to Gita, we should be just focused on our actions and not results, as results can sometimes be instant and sometimes they take a lot of time, so the more important aspect is that we need to focus on work. We need to be more concerned about the actions.

We’ve all heard that if you want something, you have to give it to others in abundance; if we want love, we have to give love; if we want kindness, we have to be kind; and if we want to be respected, we have to give respect.

Thus, trust the actions of nature and just give in to the best, leave the rest, and see the magic unfold.
