Fifteen years back:
Me: Can you please draw my biology diagram?
Cousin: Why did you take biology if you can not draw anything?
Me: Please di, I will do anything, please, you are so good at it.
Cousin: Why don’t you try once?
Me: Well, di, you know I can’t… I can’t even do a proper circle.
Cousin: Hmm… Okay… last time… and please do not take biology next year.
Me: Okay.
Today:
I finished my sadhana in the morning and asked my 7-year-old son to come and study for some time. He wanted to buy some more time to play more and he was trying to find some excuse for that. So, he said mom, why don’t you draw something?
Me: I do not know how to draw.
Aadi: You can try today.
Me: Aadi, I have never drawn anything, if you want to draw something, you can do that for some time. We will study after half an hour.
Aadi: No mumma, I want you to draw. It is so much fun.
Me: But I have never even drawn a proper circle. And what should I draw?
Aadi: We can do anything if we practice and you love Krishna, why don’t you draw Krishna?
Me: (in my mind) Very tricky Aadi, now I can’t say anything because you just repeated my own dialogue to me.
Me: Okay, I will try.
Finally, he convinced me to draw and I drew something for the very first time.
It was my beautiful Lord and it was a liberating experience.
I felt as if I am meditating, and felt very close to Lord. and I learnt few things :
-
Kids can also inspire us to do new things
-
You can do anything you set your mind to
- Love (my love for Krishna in this case) can make you do wonders
All Glories to Swamiji 🙏🙏🙏
