“You must make a decision that you are going to move on. It won’t happen automatically. You will have to rise up and say, I don’t care how hard this is, I don’t care how disappointed I am, I’m not going to let this get the best of me. I’m moving on with my life.
– Joel Osteen

Since childhood, everyone teaches us to adjust and sacrifice and that teaching goes for the whole life with us. However, I realized something when I was going through a very difficult phase of my life, not physically but mentally. I was adjusting and trying to keep going with my job, but in the end it was culminating with me being an unsatisfied and unhappy person. But finally, I made a decision and it was a hard decision, but I chose to move on, for my own mental health; but with a solution. Every problem has a solution; I read this somewhere and my experience says that it is true. Life goes on and it is in our hands how and where we want to take it. You may get less but something is better than nothing.

Most important thing is that when you are happy and contented, you will live peacefully but when you are forcing yourself to do something that you don’t want to do, it upsets your peace of mind. But all this is only possible when you have your family or friends who show trust in you and help you in moving on. I am lucky enough to have that support. It’s not only about commitments and relationships; it can be about thoughts also. When something bothers us we should leave it and move on. What is the benefit of hurting yourself again and again? Adjustments are good, provided they are not upsetting you. Our happiness is most important.

It is going to be hard, you might feel guilty, but in the end it will be your decision and not of anyone else. You will learn to move on instead of staying and regretting every moment; it is better to live the way you want to live.

Don’t trouble yourself extremely and keep yourself comfortable but aware of your responsibilities and overall commitments.
