Hey Readers today’s task is to tell three things/incidents about my life. And being my precious readers you all also have got a task to guess which incident is a fiction! As I’m a college lecturer, so I am presenting some incidents and aspects from my teaching life only. So here we go…
1. Laughing at their blunders
Being a lecturer in a college even though a Girls college can sometimes give you thrilling experience, after all the girls you are teaching, are all grown up adult human beings. Also now a days they are far more courageous.
This incident happened in September 2018. My department is quite at a distance from the car parking in my college. That day i had to hand over mid Semester test note books to my B.Sc. final year class. After parking the car, since I had to deliver first lecture, i had left those around sixty note books in my car.
Before their lecture I sent two final year students to bring those note books, giving them car keys. I was wondering when they didn’t return for quite a while. When they returned one of them gave back my keys but I noticed their fainted faces. I asked them what happened?
And what one of them told me was like “Mam Mam Simran tried to drive your car.. She was on driver seat.. I told her not to do that but she said she will just start the car for trial and when she started, she tried to bring it out from parking but….. She lost control😒”
It was like a blast for me..I knew it would have been a blunder as around fifty car are being parked there. I was totally shocked! I went to the parking lot with them. The extent of blunder made by them was that, not only my car. …they had damaged one more car parked behind mine car their courageous trial. That car owner was also very much disturbed. So a panic scene was created wherein everyone was shocked. But i was calm after a little while and was thinking that it is a childish mistake committed by grown ups…..i thought, what if this mistake was made by my own daughter at home. My inner self was just laughing at that incident, I didn’t want to terrify the girls more. So I cool down.
Till the time both girls were taken to Principal’s office against my wish…they were panicked. I told them to never repeat this kind of act and relax now as it could be a major accident but yes you both will laugh your whole life at what you did today!!!
So this way being a teacher… You have to teach them some important life lessons by staying cool in serious situations and by laughing at their mistakes to release the panic from their hearts.
2 Learning from Group Expeditions
My students love me for arranging adventurous trips for them. Since I myself belong to a travel loving family, I willingly arrange these trips for me… Oh I mean for my students:) and secondly my own sister is running a travel agency called “Gypsysouls” so it becomes easy for me to plan and arrange. I have been going on expeditions to many places all over India and also to Dubai and Andeman Nicobar.
Believe me..travelling as a group leader is a very courageous task but I learn many human aspects in the company of younger generation and also I got a chance to motivate them with my life learnings. I remember during one such trip to Vaishno Devi, two students had gone missing, actually they reach the meeting point much later than decided. I remained positive and composed at that time and motivated others to think positive only. When both girls reach later, we all took a sigh of relief and completed that trip with relaxed minds.
3. Being a motivational speaker
My students have made this dream of myself to become a motivational speaker come true somehow. For me teaching at any stage, includes imparting both subject lessons as well as life lessons to the upcoming generation. Whatever I am learning on my spiritual journey, I try to impart to my students whenever I get a chance to do so. I tell them how our negative life patterns are formed by our own negative thinking and speaking and about other aspects of life they must take care of at their present stage. When they all listen to these concepts with full focus and interest, I realise that their souls are also thirsty to gain that knowledge to come out of the same robotic lifestyle.
So once again it’s my appeal to all parents and teachers to come forward and impart the important life lessons to this younger generation for their emotional and mental well being! They really deserve to have a fulfilling life🍀🕊.
