Living in the Shadow…

Few days back , our shooting team planned for a picnic near the beach  area. We were all very excited about the picnic. A bus was hired. All artists, technicians with the director team were ready . We arrived at the picnic spot at around 10 am.  As usual there were cooks who were busy making breakfast and preparing the lunch.  There were both veg and non veg in the menu. After reaching the spot ,we danced to the tune and music then I,  myself and another friend of mine went to the beach. We had lots of fun together. We got wet in the water, made reels for insta and danced. At around 2 pm I came back from the Beach and was sitting alone and was enjoying the scenery. I encountered Muni there. 

             Muni, she calls herself , a transgender was begging . After asking some of us money, she came to me and asked for some help. Truth be telling I was reluctant first. And I ddnt have rupees with me. So I remain seated.Then she told me that she has seen me in TV and she could recognize me. Suddenly she put out a one repee coin from her purse and gave it to me and said keep it. She then blessed me with her pallu by touching my forehead and I wanted to talk to her. I wanted to share some moments with her. I told her to stop and asked her some time. She was agree. We went to the beach again. On the sand,near the bushes we sat and started talking. With her permission,  I asked her to tell about herself. Muni told , her real name is Nirmal. Up to 18 years she was staying with her parents.  Her parents were very poor and they needed money. She has got 4 brothers and sisters. After turning 18, she came in contact with other transgenders who insisted her that she should leave her parents and come to them. The society will not accept her. And finally one unfortunate morning she decided to leave her parents and go to them. Muni told that day her parents cried like hell.  She also cried. Her elder brother angrily told her if she will leave the home and go to others then she should not come back again . Muni was agreed. And her second life started with others. Muni also described how she was sent to have gay sex and all those things. I don’t want to to go to detail but she told me that I can write everything which she told. But I am not feeling like to write.  

I asked her many things. 

Q–Do you pray to God?

A- No. I do not pray. Because I believe God resides in us. We are part of God. So why to pray? I believe everything, everyone is God .

Q–Is it true that you bless and you curse?

No. It is not like that. Who are we to curse? But yes, we bless and tell God to keep you happy.

Q—Do you stay alone and is there TV in your room?

Yes. I stay alone.  And there is no TV. I cook myself. Sometimes I eat bread and sleep.

Q–How you pass your time?

I do nothing. 

During her conversation, she told that she also wants to help the poor. Tears were rolling from her eyes. She told God has made us like this. There is nothing I can do about it. It’s  reality. All our conversation was video recorded by our chief assistant director  who gave Muni some money also..We encouraged Muni to be happy in life and always stay happy and blessed.

.we hugged each other and muni was very happy.

 I was surprised to hear about her point of view about God.So much pure she is.. a child of God’s own creation…
