O my Master…Do you remember me?
When you walked this planet as Rama, I was a tree in the forest, under whose shade you sat, and you enchanted me with your calm demeanor…
O my Master…Do you remember me?
When your were Buddha, giving your discourse, I was a tiny bird chirping in a nest, and you quietened me with your mesmerizing voice…
O my Master…Do you remember me?
When you were dancing Rasa Lila with the Gopis, I was a deer hiding behind the trees, watching your graceful moves, drinking in the joy emanating from your being…
O my Master…Do you remember me?
When as a little lamb, I hurt my foot and you nursed me in your arms as God’s son, easing my pain with your loving soothing words and glance…
O my Master…Do you remember me?
My soul knows you do, because you have always been there, loving me and comforting me. It was I who forgot You. I was so carried away by the costume you gave me, that I thought I was the costume. Oh, and I forgot you, I am so sorry My Master…nothing else in the world matters now other than You. Please do not let me forget you ever again. It matters not what costume you give me, or what role I have to play, but please let me love you in every moment of my existence…till I cease to be me, and become one with you.
