Letting go gives us freedom, and freedom is the only condition for happiness. Thich Nhat Hanh.
Let’s play question-answer round today:
· When was the last time you forgave someone, and what did you feel after that?
· When was the last time you gave away your favorite toy?
· When was the last time you shared that last piece of chocolate?
· When was the last time you ordered something for someone else?
· When was the last time you broke a conversation with a colleague after a verbal disagreement?
· When was the last time you gave a smile to the person who made a fool out of you?
· When was the last time you made peace in the office and home?
· When did you last call up your long-lost friend?
The post would be a long one, but it doesn’t make any sense as the gist of the article is to make you aware of your actions and how all of us need to reduce the mental baggage that we carry along in our life.
Remember a fight that made you stop talking to your school or college friends? Do you remember them? What was the reason behind it? I can bet on it that we won’t even remember a lot of them. Still, we don’t want to make eye contact with that very friend.
Why is it that we don’t want to talk to many people we used to spend much time with? Why is it that we follow site out of mind policy? It is ok to be away; it is ok not to talk, but it is not ok to keep grudges as they will not make you weak, which is not suitable for spiritual health.
