My salutation to all divine being visible and invisible helping in maintaining harmony of this planet directly or indirectly.
Om namah Shivay
Today topic which i am sharing with you is of fitness. I choose this topic because I personally feel that it has become a subject of great concern. Recently my visit to ashram i met a married lady who was suffering from orthoritities due to which she is half paralysis. Her age must be around 40 or less than it. Her left part of the body was stiff or more rigid due to which she was unable to walk properly. But most inspiring thing was that inspite of all this , she continued to worked in office.
In very early days of my childhood, I was fit relative to boys and girls of our school. I wanted to join army but my father wanted me to become engineer. Finally my father won, as I suffered from myopia which increase with increase with my age. So, I shifted my attention in studies but I was interested in playing specially any outdoor game. During holidays, most of time I spent playing in field with my friend till late night. In studies, I scored good and was among topper. But just 10th board, I completely withdraw from outdoor games to score good marks in 10th board and surprisingly I came up with poor grade. Result were very below from my expectations. I was surprised to see the result. I accepted as I didn’t understand the reason behind it, but I was sure that for 12 board I will work harder. Two years , I worked very hard and got result according to my expectations. I drop for competitive exams .Four years after 10th was very stressful. Heavy toil took on my health. For continuous four years , I was suffering from orthoritities and sinosities.
When I entered college, I showed my problem to doctor and he immediately told me to do operation. I thought for a while as at that time I didn’t have money for operation. I thought I will workout for it. Four years continuously leaving few month in between I did running and swiming everyday for atleast one hour. One of my senior was very impressed by my motivation. His name was manish from mechanical branch. He looked like SRK (Sharukh) Everybody called him sharukh. I am not sure but I got to know that he had a kiran also. It was mystery for all of us as who was his kiran. Whenever we met, he used to say, ” tumhare to pakka koye girlfriend ha“. I used to kept quiet knowing that even I say no , he will not admit. I used to think in my mind that,” girlfriend hote to 365 dino mai 200 din majduro ki tarah ground mai pasina na baha rahe hote. ” Brother one thing is true that ” majduro ka koye nahi hota agar hota hai to uske mehnat“. Jokes apart. My college days were golden days. Two festival used to take place, one is college fest- cresendo and other is technical test-incident. In one of the college fest, famous singer Palash Sen came. He performed in our college. It was impressive to see him singing song continously for atleast four hour’s.It was really one of his best performance. I also became fan of him.
When I entered company, I maintain my physical fitness by running and swimming for five years. So, consecutive nine years I did swimming and running like addiction. After that I got frustrated and left everything and took complete rest. I started walking. Now walking has become my habit. In around 2014 , I started walking. For atleast three or four months, I walked for 18 km at a stretch which I used to cover in four hours approximately.
Recently at tambaram , I walked around 16 km with around 3 kg luggage around my back. I never walked so long . I never went to gym or practice for decade. All this shows that stress plays a vital role in our life. So, it my humble request to remove stress from your life as much as possible. All the physical activity we do, the main motive behind it is to remove stress. First we need to find the cause of stress and then we need to find way to remove it. There can be many ways.
I hope this blog didn’t went too long . Keep writing and best wishes to all of you.
Jai Shri Hari
