For me, the three most revered teachers in the contemporary world are:

(a) Cremation ground
(b) Emergency ward of the hospital
(c) Preschool

Cremation ground illuminates how the persons walking perpendicular, proud of their power, wealth and beauty, lick the dust finally.

They have to be brought horizontally!

All the human beings, irrespective of their stature, become identical in the end — ashes.

If you think that you have the most profound and innumerable griefs, just take a round of the emergency ward or trauma centre of a hospital. I bet you will forget about your so-called sorrows when you see the patients and their family members in extremely pathetic conditions.

I have seen patients in great affliction, undergoing treatment for a fairly long period, in the premier postgraduate medical institute in Chandigarh.
For the patients and their attendants, the hospital has become a second home. Their life revolves around arranging money for umpteen tests, to buy costly medicines. Crestfallen faces have forgotten merriment and festivities!

Who says God doesn’t exist?

The presence of God can easily be felt in the giggling of kids in a preschool.

Take some candies with you, and distribute them among preschool children. You will see something unworldly — the faces of the tiny tots glowing with heavenly bliss!

Truly, happiness doesn’t consist of conspicuous consumption!
