No Excuses!

Being Honest With Oneself

You know, we often give ourselves ordinary and extraordinary excuses for our actions and decisions. If we don’t execute something, we give excuses. If we fail to do something, we are ready with excuses. If we do something that’s against others, we defend ourselves with exquisite excuses. Don’t we do so? It’s a very bad practice. We should drop this habit at once.

Excuses are born out of lack of integrity, determination and because of laziness. It’s interesting, we don’t fool others as much as we fool ourselves. And we think we’re being smart before others! Actually, we are deceiving ourselves! And who doesn’t even spare himself or herself to deceive, he or she has definitely lost his intel

Giving excuses is a sign that we are not truthful within. And that amounts to corruption. We are corrupt within. And with a corrupt heart, living has no beauty. Have you ever noticed how people give excuses for even trivial things? You might have also done the same sometimes. We all have done this in our lives, sometime or other. But, we have to be wise, no? Why give excuses? Why can’t we be honest? At least within?

Honesty is not only the best policy, but also the most expensive one to have. Weak hearts can’t afford it. I hope you understand what I mean by weak hearts. Honesty is very expensive. To have it, you have to sacrifice many things. That’s why it’s so expensive. But, if you are honest, both within and without, you have a mettle, you have substance. You are a (hu)man then.

Don’t ever give excuses! Neither to others nor to yourself. Excuse givers are losers. Why choose to be a loser? Honesty will cost you. But, be willing to pay that cost. Life will reward you bountifully. When life rewards you, everything else seems puny. Earn Life’s grace; don’t run after people’s admiration or respect, which you want to gain through deception. Whom are you deceiving?

Thank you.
