Building an end of day routine for better physical and mental health has been on my mind for some time and my plans were always grandoise never small but since now the new plan is to force things to be small and micro level here is the new night routine:
My eyes have always been little weak with both eyes having 0.5 and 0.25 number lenses but since its small number I did not prefer wearing glasses which put a certain level of strain on my eyes while working on my laptop. Not only that recently I discovered certain black spots( called floaters) in the upper region of the eye which is suppose to be white originally. The spots are rather small but 4-5 in number so its time to take precautionary action. After searcing numerous things I zeroed on in patanjali eye drops called drishti(which feel like pepper spray for first few seconds). My husband, when I put it in his eyes said Baba ne iske andar tezaab daala hain kya(has ramdev baba put acid in it). Within a few days he has turned a fan of the product due to his own relief from itching and redness though.
Product: drishti eye drop
time period: 3 months trial
method: Again I will just put it on my bedside table so that Its not a hassle to remember to use it daily and put a daily reminder in my phone just in case I forget. Soon I will keep adding things to this End of day task list like soaking almonds, soaking sprouts , head massage twice a week but for now I will stick with my rule of keeping it small. One thing at a time.
My long term goal from these painfully slow but consistent changes is that over a period of time say one year or so when i look back I will have automated and inculcated many small but powerfull new routines into my life which are natural and beneficial without the hassle of having to ‘remember them all’ because lets face it, in this day and age we are all in that trap of ‘busyness’ and have too much to do in too little time due to our work and family responsibilities.
November 1 – Started the practise with drishti eye drop.
November 6 update: Instead of evening I shifted it to morning. Reason: Its a painful medicine to be honest and at the end of the day I was far less motivated to put it in my eyes compared to morning.
December update-(yet to be added)
January update- (yet to be added)
