Oh you just exist,

Our magnificent ocean, with waves crashing back and forth.

Your waters ever so pristine, inexhaustible, with mighty power and ever so glorious.

You take everything thrown at you,

Yet wise as ever you send the unwanted back to us, by your shores; the wastes, the unmoving and the lifeless.

Isn’t this the secret of life, oh Ocean?

Isn’t this what you are teaching us oh beautiful one?

To be present for all, in all our glory, staring at life with joy,

As if, ever smiling, filled with life,

Yet, rejecting gracefully all that we do not wish to keep.

Never still, and always moving, yet you stay right here, never going anywhere.

Oh, how do you do this, tell me oh dear ocean?

Teach us humans to be so detached, yet so giving, so beautiful, yet so fierce.

Oh Mother Nature, aren’t you everywhere and in everything?

The waves, the creatures, the air, the life in the living and the energy in any movement.

Oh beautiful Ocean, we are but a drop, learning from you.

A piece of our Lord, you are, of His magnificent blue, magnanimous and ever giving, yet untouchable. You cannot be conquered, yet you conquer all.

Oh, like a piece of our Lord, you are, oh ocean.

Teach us oh, glorious one, teach us life.

Note: Have you ever looked at the ocean and realised that it always spits out what isn’t natural and any waste will always find its way to the shores. Similarly, perhaps we can do the same with our minds. Our bodies do so anyway. Our minds though, we are too hesitant to spit out things which we do not need. Let’s be like the ocean, while being a drop in the ocean.

Nature is teaching us abour life all the time, it seems. Did you learn anything from Nature lately?:)
