You are imperfect, you are wired for struggle, but you are worthy of love and belonging. Brene Brown.
What is the first thing you do when you see a snake: Runaway
When you see fire: try to extinguish it.
When you think you are under attack: try to save yourself.
Girls when you see a cockroach: Scream (Sorry, just kidding)
Well, what is the first reaction we people have when we consider ourselves under threat? It is to save ourselves, and what happens when you are with your loved one? It is them you try to keep safe. I think you got my point here. Survival is the basic nature of human beings, and it is the survival of the fittest.
Let’s go back to a few centuries back when we never had house or safety measures, and then was when our DNA was coded with the sudden adrenal rush that makes us what we are, and our survival instincts jump him whenever we are in danger.
We, as humans, have evolved and learned a lot. We have developed and invented many things that make us what we are. In this rat race and the sense of achievement, we have forgotten the importance of patience and contentment. We have forgotten that we are not perfect and we can’t do everything in our lives, but we can achieve something or the other, keeping in mind that it is always one thing at a time.
Our DNA has developed so that we don’t feel content, and more we have, we need. Satisfaction is the key, and that is the only thing missing from our lives. In the process, we forget that:
· We are the ones whom we have to keep happy.
· We are the ones who deserve a break.
· We are the ones who deserve a pat on the back.
· We are the ones who need a break.
Loving oneself is not a sign of ego, but it is appreciating one thing that will remain with you for the rest of your life. No one will be with you but this body, so please treat it with love, care, and affection.
