Only Energy Lives On…

What Type Of Energy Are You Emitting?

Recently, this realisation came to me that nothing lives on except our energies, and that even energies don’t last if they are weak. This realisation got me thinking. I came upon this realisation after reading Siddhika Umesh’s post on Thich Naht Hanh. Read it here. This wonderful being is no more. He passed away on 22 January, 2022, in his home country Vietnam, at the age of 95. 

Siddhika Umesh has given a beautiful account of him and his teachings. There were his quotations, and there were these lines, which I am copying from Siddhika Ji’s post:

“Throughout our life we produce energy. We say things and do things, and every thought, every word, and every act carries our signature. What we produce as thoughts, as speech, as action, continues to influence the world, and that is our continuation body. Our actions carry us into the future. We are like stars whose light energy continues to radiate across the cosmos millions of years after they become extinct.”

These lines sum up my post—what I want to say. Whatever we do, it’s just a manifestation of energy—in the form of thoughts, speech, writing, actions or presence. What type of energy we are emitting into the cosmos—it’s important to be aware of this. Our thoughts, words, actions not only impacts ourselves, but also others. If we want to make this world a beautiful place, we have to radiate beauty. We have to be beautiful within…just like a fragrant flower makes its surroundings pleasant. So should we do. 

May our life be filled with beauty and serenity. Jai Shri Hari!
