When you are high on news,
What occurs?
Rage,
Frustration,
Irritation,
And another,
Useless drama.
Thy morning’s bright.
Thy sun soothing,
Thy wind blowing,
Thy birds chirping,
But your interest lies,
On those dead flies,
Pictured in every pages,
Of that damn newspaper.
It’s there to control you,
It’s there to monopolize you,
It’s there to tense you,
It’s there turn a new beginning,
It’s there arrived from anomalies within humanity.
For that’s you value,
For that’s you pay,
For that’s you consume,
For that’s you invariably become.
News is past,
Gone and dead,
Don’t savor the stinking,
As what’s in your mind,
Fills in heart,
Fill with rotten,
Be rotten.
P.S: Thank you and deep gratitude for reading my poems. It’s a newly discovered talent in me, maybe not rhyming and good enough, but I found poetry is the best medium to express our emotions. And that’s the reason I started writing them, it frees up my mind, relaxes me, and the creative expression is deeply fulfilling. I mostly write with my feelings and experience, and not to fill the word limit, so have to include these lines in every poem as they are shorter than one one-fifty words to publish. Accept my gratitude (although I don’t have much).
