Yesterday I read (I lived) the story in ‘A million Thoughts’, the rosebud. I cannot stress enough how I was deeply affected by all the subtle messages in it. A beautiful poem with such a powerful effect showing the insignificance of me. Yes, the world doesn’t revolve around me! Yes, you can laugh at me😂. Yet, if I cannot open a single rosebud without damaging a single petal, what am I? I follow only the path of my Guru Ji and of God. I have seen you, I read you, I watch you, You are the Guru of millions, and I am a bud at your feet Dearest Om Swami Ji. Only with your grace can this little me flower into existence. I am still enclosed in myself, hesitating to open up to receive the mighty sun. Once I bloom, there will be only your grace. Just like the sunflower always faces the sun, this bud’s internal compass sees You only. The poem as in the book:
It is only a tiny rosebud,
A flower of God’s design,
But I cannot unfold the petals,
With these clumsy hands of mine.
The secret of unfolding flowers
Is not known to such as I.
God opens this flower so sweetly,
Then in my hands they die.
If I cannot unfold a rosebud,
This flower of God’s design,
Then how can I have the wisdom,
To unfold this life of mine?
So I’ll trust in God for leading,
Each moment of my day.
I will look to God for His guidance,
Each step of the way.
The pathway that lies before me,
Only God knows.
I’ll trust Him to unfold the moments,
Just as He unfolds the rose.
