“Are you selling your asset to invest in some commercial project?” A young woman asked me.
“No, I wish to donate for Sadhana App.” I replied.
As the formal transfer was taking a bit longer than usual therefore to pass the time we started chatting. The young woman started feeling restless as it was taking more time. She told me that her younger child was having fever and he cried aloud when she left the house to come here. She was terribly missing her child and was constantly worried about him although her mother-in-law would take care of the child at home but still, she wanted to go back home as early as possible. To divert her mind I shared the link of Sadhana App with her and said, “I wish to share my money with this App.” She clicked the buttons but due to less signals it did not work in her mobile. I opened the App in my mobile and showed Sadhana App features of doing japa, abhishekam, yagya, nitya puja and sadhana in different temples. She showed apt interest in it. We did a chant of Ram nama for a short time. There and then, I decided that I would be sharing Sadhana App with a person everyday giving my personal time to encourage other to give a try to this app. The more people will use it, the more they will be benefitted from it and more dakshina they will want to give like in crowded temples, which received more donations. The more revenue will make it a self-reliant app and its current maintenance expenditures will be met easily.
Next day, there was a birthday in the family. Along with the e-card, I shared the link to App with him. On third day, I downloaded Sadhana App in my mother’s mobile. Although she was tired in the evening because of her hectic schedule but to encourage me and to spend time with me, she keenly learned the basic features of the App and thoroughly enjoyed doing abhishekam on it. On fourth day, I met my friend after three years of long gap. When I introduced her to App she said, “It is a boon for her.” As she resided in a foreign land, she found it difficult to do prayers with Sanskrit mantras on festivals. She was delighted to know about such an impressive app on Sanatan Dharma. We did abhishekam, nitya puja and yagya together. When we were doing puja on App, her neighbor’s daughter came and took a keen interest in performing yagya on App by offering ghee and hawan samagri by clicking the options. She found it as interesting as a video game.
These are my baby steps to make Sadhana App a popular App. I was just following the marketing techniques that I learned from Om Swamiji in ‘Walk the Dragon’ program in which he told about ‘Sale Funnel’. It is a four-step process in which a customer is made aware of the product or service, piquing their interest by storytelling and developing attraction to the product, influence them to take decision by overcoming their natural resistance and to take action to convert it in actual sale or an app user. Word-of-mouth marketing can trigger the product to new heights.
Swami Sivananda said, “If you are a disciple, you should be dedicated and devoted to your guru. And you should direct your effort and endeavor to carrying out and furthering his work, whatever it may be. For you are merely an extension of your guru, in body, mind and consciousness.” So, Guru’s mission is my mission. 🙂
Dear readers, I am continuously introducing Sadhana App to new persons around me. Do you wish to join me by sharing this App with one person per day?
