“When it’s darkest, men see the stars.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
Pandemic. War. Inflation. Corruption. Discrimination. Climate. These are times when even the bravest can feel gloomy. Our world can seem dismal, our lives joyless. All may seem lost and hopeless.
But fear not, as there is light at the end of the tunnel. It is in such times that we are challenged to bring out the best in ourselves. Courage and perseverance can help overcome the most difficult of hurdles. This is not the time to be crestfallen and rue over circumstances. For, as Rabindranath Tagore once said “if you cry because the sun has gone out of your life, your tears will prevent you from seeing the stars.”
Wake up. Rise above the crowd. Lead the way. Only light can drive out darkness, and only love can drive out hate. Be a messenger of love to all.
