Sounds reassure
Sonorous waterfalls
We cannot live without
Orphaned from silence
We’re opened our ears
Vile or agreeable sounds
Granted a free pass
Into the cavernous cove
Where silence once lived
Now banished to the fringe
Where there’s no one
To appreciate the mother
Of all vibrations, it’s revered
But the galleries demand
Tones rich in transience
From the lower reaches
Carried patiently by space
To work on fragile drums
Replacing silence with sounds
