RESOLUTIONS For 2023 – STOP

For all those who wait for months and weeks for Jan 1, to finally give wings to their much desired and meticulously planned resolutions, here are a few suggestions:

STOP negative thinking. Look at the positive side of everything, including some of the most challenging moments in life. For example, my wrist fractured two weeks before IRONMAN; I was driven to be among the rare breed which became IM with a fractured wrist.

STOP judging – Everything in life is not black and white. There are shades of grey everywhere; what you perceive is not always the fact.

STOP procrastinating – the best time to do ANYTHING is NOW. The moment we plan for a date in future, we assume everything will be perfect at that time and trust me, that will NEVER be the case.

STOP overthinking – We can spend infinite time thinking about everything; we take time for granted. But the reality is that the best learning is once the action begins, so be ready to pivot, and change course as the situation demands.

STOP watching the news – it does you no good; it has little to offer. We spend too much time analysing what is happening in the world and too little time on what is happening with us. Reverse your priorities.STOP technology from influencing our thoughts – With tools like CHATGpt gaining prominence, it’s never been as easy to overindulge in tech tools. But it’s essential to retain your human core and keep some things simple.

STOP creating virtual hurdles – we create limitations in mind even before we start something. Many of the most significant projects in life were killed even before they could be started.

STOP listening to fear terrorists– these people pass on their perceived fear of an act and strongly discourage you from doing it. They are passing on their shortcomings to you. Stay away from them.

what do you plan to STOP?
