My dad Kishore V Sonpal, was just short of 82, when he breathed his last on June 12, 2020, 01:24am. He built the habit of maintaining a diary right from his late twenties, when he took up his first job with Indian Railways, way back in 1964. His writings have stood the test of time. They are as relevant today, as they were, when he penned them down. I am sharing third of these diary entries. Just like me, hope you will also find subtle meaning in his writings.

Here is the Nineteenth share:

Transcript to the message:

We learn from his Sadhna that in attempting to realise the divine, we do not aspire for something new or extraneous.

What does not belong to us, can never be ours. By our struggle, we only discover what really belongs to us.

And for this glorious culmination, the first thing that is needed is zeal. Without this element in the struggle, without tenacity of purpose, no amount of spirituality, injected from without, no amount of scriptural knowledge, pilgrimage, association with devotees, prostration, genuflection, will be of any use.

What I loved the most about this was the line: What does not belong us, can never be ours. By our struggle, we only discover what really belongs to us.
