Om Shri Matre Namah.
My humble pranaam to os.me family. My infinite salutations to Prabhu ji ,our beloved Guru ji.. who is just incredible in everything. He is the best. Today is the 6th day of Sri Sukta sadhna. Some have taken the sankalpa to chant one Mala, some two or three and some are doing five or ten Mala japa respectively. In today’s post I would like to share some experience from independent point of view. I really realize how essential it is to be mind ful when you are doing sadhna. Of course mindfulness is something which is always required in every aspect of life. And spiritual sadhna is the highest because here we want to connect with the Divine. We want to feel and experience something beyond. Whether it is the awakening of kundalini, whether it is visualizing the form or what ever we can name .. It is the highest desire. So concentration and mindfulness are very much necessary.
It is like , let us take the example of a class room. There will be only one student who will be first. Then another student will get second or third rank and then there will be B grade and C grade students. Obviously the student who got first in the class is more focused and more mindful. It is almost the same mindfulness which is required while performing sadhna. It is daunting because we don’t feel any logic. For example when you are watching a thriller or any good movie , I feel we are extremely mindful. Because we feel something in our heart. But while doing sadhna we have not felt yet. We will feel that later when the connection will be perfect. And to perfect the connection we need focus.
I also realize why it is utmost necessary to be silent. I mean it. BE SILENT AND YOU WILL FEEL THE STILLNESS EVERYWHERE. As we are average human (p.s) there are some extraordinary sadhaks here) we talk a lot. We talk too much. So then it will affect our focus. Since there are innumerable thoughts and they hit the brain and mind the moment you will start sitting in silence they will start playing around you. MASTER TOLD THAT IN ASHRAM IT IS DIFFICULT TO DO SADHNA AND YOU NEED TO BE IN AN ISOLATE PLACE. I very well realize what He meant by this because somewhere down the fine line we interact with each other like in cities. By doing that we spoil the charm of ashram. By maintaining solitude and silence at least we can go to a point. So personally i feel that before 3or 4 hours of sadhna if it is not necessary then we should go to silence. The more silent we will be the more mindful will be our chanting and the more connected we will be. Silence will help immensely to become more mindful. I have experienced that while chanting some non specific talk will distract me . Then there will be a breakdown in the flow of the japa. So you can be more mindful if you can stay silent.
I am thankful to @Sandhya shiv Kumar dii for encouraging me to do the essential rites before the mula mantra japa as I was only doing the easy way which Guru ji mentioned. Since i had done the three years pre rituals it will be purascharana for me and I was not doing the traditional steps. But I started it . In that way another 30 min added and believe me after reaching 8 or 9 Mala my legs are paining like anything. It is almost extremely difficult. My mind says me to stand. Even though I stretch my leg it is not helpful . All you need is to be extremely fit and a yogic body. That is why yoga and asanas are essential in the path of sadhna. You have to make a perfect body…Thank you for reading ..All Grace…
