Who said a human is a single being,
For me it seems a crowd within,
The Head, heart and the mind.
And I most times,
Just a performer,
In the world of stage in,
Sometimes the head,
The bright intellectual,
Giving brilliant thesis,
But alas! Those other two,
They never join the class,
And befriend with me.
The head preaches one way,
The monkey mind runs the other,
And the heart’s unknown mysterious ways.
Oh! How do I form a unity?
As the preacher’s wisdom,
Never enlightens the monkey,
And the monkey’s jumping,
Never made sense to the theoretician,
And let alone leave thy heart,
For what he says neither the mind catches,
Nor the hear hears.
In the jungle within I,
Where I seem to get fry,
And wanna always cry,
Where wisdom gets dry,
Just let me lie,
Meditate,
And let all the drama,
Die!
P.S: Thank you and deep gratitude for reading my poems. It’s a newly discovered talent in me, maybe not rhyming and good enough, but I found poetry is the best medium to express our emotions. And that’s the reason I started writing them, it frees up my mind, relaxes me, and the creative expression is deeply fulfilling. I mostly write with my feelings and experience, and not to fill the word limit, so have to include these lines in every poem as they are shorter than one one-fifty words to publish. Accept my gratitude (although I don’t have much).
